Very interesting questions from Mr. Newton, I would say. What kind of a nation are we really? What kind of a nation do we want to become and are we willing to work at achieving justice for all?
Imperialism cares nothing about justice but only cares about the exercise of power. Mr. Newton has noticed these characteristics in many of the recent actions of our nation and has shown the courage required in order to bring them to our attention. We should consider carefully what we deem to be worthy of pride. Is it merely the flag flying proudly as an imperial banner that we must respect? Or is it rather our consistent and unwavering struggle to act justly as a nation in the world that should make us proud?
Keep up the good work,
